On March 18, the Daviess County CEO Cohort took a short trip down Main Street in Washington to visit with Greg Deaves and Anthony Campbell, who shared their expertise in the paint industry. They discussed the various regulations that impact the industry—many of which most people never consider.
“Paint has been around as long as the caveman,” exclaimed Greg, highlighting the rich history behind something we often take for granted.
Anthony oversees the Washington Sherwin-Williams store, which operates much like a small business; and Greg has transitioned to outside sales. It’s their responsibility to ensure everything runs smoothly while meeting the same demands many entrepreneurs face. As they explained, “Sherwin-Williams Paint Store of Washington, IN offers exceptional quality paint, supplies, and stains to help bring your ideas to life. Have paint questions? Ask the team at your local Sherwin-Williams. Remember—not all paint is the same, and paint often dries darker.”
Greg and Anthony left the CEO students with some valuable advice:
**Always ask questions.
**Use available marketing tools to your benefit.
**Take your second language seriously—it’s more valuable than you might think.
A big thank-you to Greg and Anthony for taking time to speak with the CEO Cohort and share their insight into the world of paint and business!
